Club run will go up Big Pine/Death Valley road and take the turn off to Harkless Flat area where we will take a side road to overlook the Owens Valley and have a great view of the Sierras. From there we will go to Papoose Flats and have lunch (Papoose flat is at an elevation of 8,500’ so bring a jacket in case the wind blows and it gets cold). After lunch we will continue South and go up to Mazourka Peak then on to Independence and home.

After leaving pavement our run will consist of using normal drive mode some times and lots of other areas where you will use 4×4 low range. 

Every person who went on this run last year liked the run and had a good time. 

Meet at Von’s parking lot S. of the gas station at 9 am and for those people who live S. of Bishop we will meet you at the corner of Highway 395 and highway 168 approx 9:15/9:20 or so. We should get to Independence at the end of the run around 4 pm. 

Bring the usual – lunch, chairs, water etc.
